Nomadicsounds continues to evolve. in the upcoming month the whole site will be redone. Dj Rising is The only one of the original crew still in NOLA. Nola is our home and to those who have left and long to return we miss you. the evolution is never done. Dj rising can be found anywhere late at night where you hear the beats.

WE'RE AN EVOLVING, everchanging group of New Orleans based entertainers, musicians- performers and producers who find great enjoyment in providing good music to anyone who wants to hear it.

MUSIC IS ONE of the most basic vibrations in all of life. is it coincidence that its language is universal? like we crave the forest and the mountains and the ocean we crave music to take our souls and bring us to the primitive. we listen and we're transported and transformed. and even if its only for a party one night or on a jog thru the park we get our fix and life is more bearable till we do it again.

WHAT'S YOUR FIX? "jazz blues dixieland i got ya!" (sayz the big guy who plays trombone on royal street in front of brennans restaurant, always taking requests) is it classical or goth or a combination of both that brings you to that place?

WHAT'S THAT SPECIAL mix you play everytime you hit the highway for that roadtrip? why's the radio on when you sit in traffic? what's with the mp3 player in your pocket you got plugged into your ears when you're on the train, or walkin home from work first thing out the door?

4/18/07 dj Rising here just poppin in, some of you may have heard i was involved in a motorcycle accident but all is well, walked away with justa broken wrist. be back to 100% soon,

dj Rising here just reporting in. Things here in Nola are just about back to normal and just in time for another hurrican season. Plans are to stay put and spend another year based in New Orleans @ Krazy Korner, and other venues. Just a heads up people i just upgraded to 2 pioneer cdj1000mk3 and a pioneer djm800! dj Rising turned 29 on May 21st.

Dj Rising just letting everyone know I am back in New Orleans and ready for Mardi Gras. feel free to send me a email for any questions. As we continue to deal with the aftermath of Katrina, New orleans will rebuild and so will nomadic sounds.

10/16/05 Dj Rising just reporting in, been bounced all over the coutry from katrina. Been to Florida, DC, and Baltimore-finally landed in louisville, ky. Kentucky get ready for me because i'm here to rock. I have a a show in Bethesda, Maryland in the works... send me an email for the link, other than that keep your fingers crossed for us. No matter what disaster happens it can't stop us....Nomadic sounds lives on.
